The Oxford Complete Works of W Shakespeare. London lying cupped by green hills with the old St Paul’s. Two little theatres in the foreground which is the south bank. An unimaginably different world and staggeringly familiar.
It’s a bit of a swizz to put Shakespeare in the #ReadingChallange because I rarely read him and always beg kids to go and actually SEE the plays first bed school ruins them. I’ve been an addict since I saw my first aged five, in 1956/7.
