What’s In A Name? Challenge 2026 – Sign Up The What’s In A Name Challenge is being hosted again for 2026 by Andrea at Carolina Book Nook. When Are You Reading? Challenge 2026 Sign-Up The When Are You Reading Challenge is back for 2026, once again hosted by Sam at Taking on a World of Words. It involves reading a book set in each of twelve time periods. Determining what year a book belongs in is the decision of the participant. On the whole, the rule is to choose a year where the largest part of the action occurs or the most important event.

The Classics Club, Volume 2 The Classics Club was founded in March 2012 with the aim of encouraging more people to blog about classic literature. Members are invited to create a list of at least 50 classic titles they intend to read and blog about within a maximum of five years. I completed my first list back in 2021 and I've decided it is time to tackle some more of the classic books I own, many picked up in second-hand bookshops at a time when no trip to a place was complete without a visit to one or two.

Reading Jewishly in 2025: What I Learned From This Challenge I completed this year's "Reading Jewishly" challenge to read 10 different types of books with Jewish main characters, and I'm so glad I did, because I learned a lot and discovered some wonderful new authors.  This was the first year I've focused on Jewish books, which I mainly did to honor my dad, but it also turned out to be a real exploration of my own history, culture, and religion.
