Pictures are the two books Ask the Dust by John Fante A Confederacy of Dunces by John Kennedy Toole
Hi, these are the books I finished in December. I loved Ask the Dust & A Confederacy of Dunces. Big fan. The Lover was really interesting in its narration style. Time to brush up on The Nouveau Roman movement...

My next three favorites of 2025. The ending of Snow Country gave me shivers!
Titus Groan was cool as hell. Beautiful painterly prose & so unique.
The Day of the Locust hasn’t left my mind since I read it in April.

Cover of The Cipher by Kathe Koja
Cover of a Kafka collection
Cover of Tyll by Daniel Kehlmann
The year isn’t over, but I have a baker’s dozen favorite books I read I’d love to share. This was such a good year for reading.
The Cipher was so dark and grimy I LOVED it. Kafka is Kafka. Tyll’s cover at the library caught my eye and did not disappoint at all.

Didn’t read much this month, but was shocked to discover how accessible Tolstoy is. I never read anything by him because i thought i wouldn’t enjoy. Excited to dig into Anna Karenina soon. #booksky #fable #readingwrap #nowreading #novemberreads #books
Photo of two books: Lolita by Vladimir Nabokov & The Twenty Days of Turin by Georgia De Maria
Photo showing two books: The Little Book of Hygge: The Danish Way to Live Well by Meik Wiking & The Year of Less: How I Stopped Shopping, Gave Away My Belongings… by Cait Flanders
I read two books that became favorites (left) and two books that were pretty meh (right)
I definitely didn’t commit as much time to reading in November but hopefully we can have a better time this month!

In November, I got my Bluetooth headphones replaced. When my last pair broke, I thought I’d just make do with listening directly from my phone when I was doing chores. Welp, I think the data shows that I listen to more books when I have the headphones. 7/9 = audio #ReadingWrap #readingaccess 1/2

The Dawn Patrol is great and made me want to move to San Diego 🏄♀️. I thought the Clint bio did a good job of showing a balanced look at a complicated man. The McFadden books were just fun quick read thrillers. #booksky #fable #readingwrap #nowreading
I read 12 books this month and I had some real winners! Can’t wait to see what September has in store for me. #booktok #readingwrap #augustreadingwrapup #reading #booksky

The Carpool Detectives was the best book I read in August. Everything else was good but nothing really stood out for me. Murderland was interesting, but I didn’t think the author really pulled both narratives together in a satisfying way. #fable #readingwrap #nowreading
July was a good month for reading

I didn’t read much this month, but wow, Razorblade Tears is an American masterpiece! One if the best books I’ve ever read. S.A. Cosby is really capturing a piece of America in such an interesting, thought-provoking way. #booksky #fable #readingwrap #nowreading
Here is what I read in July.
My favorite was Well of Ascension, which is book 2 of the Mistborn series.
