The elder woman flipped her long, silver streaked black hair from her face dramatically, as her distinctively raspy voice rumbled through the round lodge. "I, too, saw this young woman in my vision. She floated through a dark sky, then bounced across huge fields, her limbs being broken on the way. She sprouted wings, gliding all over the place.
“She spoke with people and animals, wild ones and wise ones. It felt like she was collecting… healing, to bring back. Then, she disappeared into a river, that lit up from within. The light grew, and then everything was light.
“Then I… I saw my mother, sleeping, in the light. I was told..." Marie's voice shuddered. "I was told Mother would not last the year."

I have my #WIPsnip, but I also need to mention here that my hometown, "the carousel capital of the world", developed a baseball team called the "Rumble Ponies". I moved from #Binghamton as soon as I could, but find this amusing.
Let's get ready to ruumbllllllllle [ponies]!
