Winded up doing this 220x5 #reverseGripBench PR sooner than originally anticipated (a week after 215x5 as opposed to two) and came into it underweight at 178 and somehow (barely) managed it. It was grindy enough though that I'll settle into triples for a month or so at least up to a 235 PR.

And this is with way less frequency on heavy #reverseGripBench than I as using at the time (one session every two weeks now versus one every ten days then), although I rotate it with #closeGripBench weekly. I am beginning to back three sets close grip off with two of light reverse grip, though.

Hmm, 200x5 PR on #closeGripBench today, conceivably a 220x5 PR on #reverseGripBench should be doable next week, despite having a harder time with 215x5 than I ought to have had last week.

Hell yeah! Threw up five singles of 240 on #reverseGripBench with the third being the fastest despite the first two making me think I was only good for three. Unfortunately I won't be peaking off this taper, as I have to switch to an accumulation phase for my contest (conventional) #benchPress.

I take it as a good omen when that last single on bench moves even better than the first four, and on a weight I had never touched before, no less--235 on #reverseGripBench, and though I may not be good going all the way to 250 quite yet, I think I'd be good for 245 in a few weeks, no sweat.
