Think of rigging as the “bridge” in the pipeline. We prepare models to move by adding a control system and a deformation system (I’ll explain these later). Even objects that won’t be animated but need to move, like backgrounds for layout, require a rig

My definition: Rigging is the process of giving a 3D model the ability to move or deform for animation.

What is Rigging?
