No more "sorry, we can't fix that."
EU consumers lose € 12 billion / year from choosing new products over repairs. Not to mention the staggering environmental costs...
By July 31st, 2026, all EU member states must transpose the Right to Repair directive, bringing sweeping changes:
reduced VAT on repair services
✓ spare parts made available for 7 years ✓repairs add 12 months to your warranty ✓banning software that prevents independent repairs
✓ mandatory repairs for smartphones, etc., post-warranty
The scope is wide: smartphones, tablets, washing machines, dryers, dishwashers, fridges, displays, servers, even vacuum cleaners.
To fix climate change, we must do more with less.
This is a big step in the right direction.
FINALLY!!
#righttorepair
Why did it take so long?
Because companies make more money with single use items and demolition. End it now!
