The Spanish government has implemented the so-called Royal Decree 666/2023, which limits the use of antibiotics in veterinary medicine. It requires procedures and tests that can be delayed so much that the animal dies before receiving veterinary care, as has already happened with several pets. A veterinarian has also been fined €90,000 for breaking the law to save a pet. This is a Change.org petition to try to revoke the law. I don’t know if signatures from people outside Spain are valid, but just in case… please help. Two news articles about a dog that died waiting for the test results and another one about the fined veterinarian.
