Front view of the finished pride themed 'Scorpio' figure.
It is sold by Scale75 as part of the 'Zodiac' model range.
The character model is painted with brown skin, white hair and braid with a number of differently colored decorative beads, a pink and light blue scale armor painted in a irregular pattern (trans pride flag color theme) with three amber colored gemstones, dark teal and black patterned leather pants, a secondary worn out leather for belts and straps and lastly, the stippled tabbard fabric done in light pink, light blue and different, but also very bright grey tones in order to create a shimmering effect. The left hand weapon, a stinger-looking fistweapon also has been painted as scratched steel nmm, whereas the sword in his right hand is done in a rainbow color blend. The base piece is made up of one ground element with two broken off greek columns of different height behind and to the left and right of the model. The colums feature two freehanded grafittis, one being the trans symbol the other spelling "trans rights" in blue and pink color. Additionally I placed the four tiny scorpions that came with the kit, painted in black but each also having a different lgbtq+ pride flag on their bodies, and paired those up with four different tiny animal miniatures, one crab, a frog, a cat and a bird, which are painted based on real life references to sort of visualize non-lgbtq+ people connecting with people of the lgbtq+ community. In different ways and leading to different outcomes.
I positioned it on a 10x10cm square plinth and photographed it in front of a black fabric background and placed my icon in the bottom left corner with low opacity settings.
It was painted between june 7th and july 23rd during six 7-8 hour long streams and two 4 hour long streams. Accounting for the fact that the active painting times is between 3/4ths and half of those durations the rough summed up painting time adds up to about 35 hours.
