The Illinois GOP is facing a triple whammy in #SD26 next year.

1) They have to defend a Harris+9 seat in a Democratic year
2) With an appointed incumbent
3) Against a popular Democratic opponent in State Rep Nabeela Syed.

They'll need all the luck they can get.

Alabama just selected a new State Senate map for the Montgomery area after the old one was struck down by the courts. This makes #SD25 a very marginal Trump-won district, while keeping #SD26 safely Democratic.

Washington's #SD26 is up in a special election next week. Despite the district backing Harris by 9 points, it's more Republican downballot, with former Senator (now Congresswoman) Emily Randall winning by just 2 in 2022.

Dems won the primary vote here by 3.

We'll have a special election for Washington's #SD26 in November thanks to now-Congresswoman Emily Randall's departure from the seat.

Randall only won re-election in 2022 by two points, but this Kitsap Peninsula district backed Kamala Harris by 9 last year.
