Certains Mac prennent en charge les cartes SDUC Avec macOS 15.4, Apple a mis à jour les pilotes du lecteur de cartes SD de certains Mac. Les modèles Apple Silicon équipés (MacBook Pro 14 pouces, MacBook Pro 16 pouces, Mac Studio) sont maintenant compatibles avec les cartes SDUC. Les cartes SDUC sont une évolution de la norme SD et comme à chaque fois, c’est essentiellement une question de capacité. Les cartes SD classiques ont une capacité maximale de 1 Go, 2 Go (la valeur classique) ou 4 Go (la différence vient de la version de la norme). Les cartes SDHC ont une capacité maximale de 32 Go. Les cartes SDXC (la majorité des cartes modernes) peuvent monter à 2 To. Et les cartes SDUC permettent de dépasser cette limite, avec une capacité maximale de 128 To. Les cartes SDUC nécessitent probablement une adaptation matérielle (ce n’est _a priori_ pas uniquement le firmware) mais comme la norme existe sur le papier depuis 2018, le lecteur d’Apple gérait probablement ça dès le départ. Dans la pratique, le format SDUC n’a pas réellement d’intérêt en 2025 : les cartes de 4 To existent surtout sur le papier et dans les salons. Mais on peut supposer qu’elles arriveront dans les étals en fin d’année ou en 2026. Les microSD de 2 To, par exemple, se trouvent pour environ 200 €, donc on peut supposer qu’une carte de 4 To devrait être sous les 400 € cette année. Au passage, la norme n’a pas de rapport direct avec les performances : beaucoup de cartes SDXC de grande capacité se limitent à de l’UHS-1 avec des débits faibles, même si les cartes UHS-II (et SD Express) existent. Et compte tenu de l’absence de lecteurs de cartes SDUC sur le marché (Apple est l’exception actuellement), on peut supposer que les premières cartes seront livrées avec un lecteur USB.

I've tried posting a link to a Petiton to help my old Uni, Lampeter from facing all but closure as all undergraduate teaching is removed. Not sure it's worked, but if anyone sees it, or similar, be nice if you coups add your names 🙂 Diolch x #Lampeter #SDUC

I dimly recall there was an academic geography panel that discussed the impact of the Lampeter Geography Department (unfortunately, several years after it was axed).

Has there been a similar reevaluation of Lampeter Archaeology?
