A mock shampoo ad for a brand called Mellure, a pun of Mel and “allure”. It depicts a topless Sideshow Mel from The Simpson smoldering at the camera over his right shoulder as his long, teal hair flows to his left. Two bottles are in the foreground, both black with pastel teal caps. In gold text they say “Mellure” and “volumizinh shampoo” and “volumizing conditioner”. They each have a plain white bone logo to represent the bone Sideshow Mel usually wears when his hair is piled in a beehive hairdo on top of his head. The ad says that “Mellure” is “by VanHorne”. Mel’s real name is Melvin Van Horne and this implies that VanHorne is a designer brand similar to L’Oreal or Garnier. The ad promises a “Bone-fied volumizing formula for Simply Mel-velous™️ locks.” This is all set against a pale blue background and in the top left is an anti-AI logo that says human created.
Decades late to the party for parental trauma reasons but I’ve been getting into #TheSimpsons lately. I actually really like #SideshowMel and I find it hilarious that he secretly has long, luxurious hair so I made this #shitpost.
