Cyne invites Fawn on a shopping trip in Sid Caeham that ends with them eating at a bar that Cyne had previously frequented to get laid. He gets recognized by some regulars who ask about Cyne's new "catch" (Fawn), but Cyne explains that Fawn is "just a friend" which leaves Fawn with some strange feelings. They stay together in a hotel for the night and Fawn's feelings overflow.
C: "You just got your heart broken, and then you have to see the guy you fell for be with the other person instead...I've never been in a position like that, but I've had guys sleep with me /just/ because of situations similar to it." F: (Cyne is...) C: "They would come to me for comfort, just to feel the touch and warmth of someone else and forget about the pain for even just a moment..." F: (No I...that's not why...) C: "But Fawn you...you've always held "love" to such a high standard. I'm in awe with it honestly. So...I don't want you to make a decision you're just going to regret-" F: "I'm not. I won't." C: Startled. Pauses. F: "Cyne..." F: "..." F: "Cyne that's not the reason this came up." F: "I /am/ still hurt from Raen, and seeing him be with Leos doesn't help with that matter...but I'm still happy for them, and I wasn't trying to push all my pain unto you and get you to comfort me." C: "Fawn...I didn't mean it like that-"
F: "When you said 'It's not like that,' and 'We're just friends,' I felt...uneasy. Like those statements were wrong- that I didn't...I didn't want them to be true." F: "...I don't want them to be true." C: Shocked. Light blush. C: "...Um, you mean..." C: "..." Blush intensifies. F: "..." Surprised. F: Expression softens, smiling. F: "At some point...I think I happened to fall for you." F: "I guess I just didn't realize it until now." ... F: Laughs F: "Sorry! I suppose it's me laughing now- I just...I never thought I would see you so flustered like this!" F: "I would've guessed you'd have a ton of guys confess to you before." C: "I have. I have but...this is the first time I've..." C: Pauses as realization hits him. F: Hopeful as he picks at Cyne's words. F: "...Cyne?" C: "I'll do it." C: "Whatever you'd like to try. When Cyne answers he does have to work, he then quickly, and softly, mentions that Fawn can still stay- for as long as he wants.)
the "problems to think about" mentioned in the 1st ss are prompts i made for myself about the 1st sex scene cause i kept getting confused specifically on what i wanted to do with it- which kickstarted this whole notes journey (i usually don't write notes like this for my fics!)
