I found this ad today and thought about @satmornpod.bsky.social . #StarTrek3 was $29.95 on VHS in 1985. That’s $90.18 in today’s money. Plus the first ten episodes of TOS for $14.95 each. That’s $45.01 today. We are so spoiled now.

#StarTrek3 is and will always be my least favourite movie of the Kirk era. With incredible acting skills and wonderful designs of ships and sets, it still isn't mine.
Especially the end fight and the too many sound stage scenes on the Genesis planet hurts the movie lot in my opinion

The supposed "auto desructed" remains of the USS Enterprise in Star Trek three. All the secondary hull, warp nacelles, and pylons are shown intact.
Thought for the day... it's not much of an autodestruct sequence if all you damage is the front half of the saucer. All the important gubbis, engines, stores, etc are still intact. #StarTrek3
