A post that reads: "I live in Logan County Colorado and they are proposing one thru Granite Renewables. They say they will not be using water for this facility Any info would be greatly appreciated. We have a meeting January 6th."
The attached image is from a physical newspaper. It has two photos with captions; the subheading in red text reads "Logan County Commissioners". The official heading says "County to hold public hearing on data center regulations Jan 6." Byline: "Callie Jones, cjones@prairiemountainmedia.com"
Text from the article: "Logan County is getting close to having data center regulations ready for approval While answering questions from a concerned citizen during a work session Tuesday, Dec 16, the commissioners announced that a public hearing on proposed regulations will be held during their next regular business meeting on Jan 6. In October, despite objections the county put a six month moratorium on the issuance of permits related to the operation of community solar garden, wind power generation, data center and battery storage system facilities. The purpose of the moratorium was to allow the county to develop regulations for data centers and battery storage facilities since they don't yet have any regs for those, and to revise its regs for solar and wind projects. The commissioners said it wouldn't necessarily take them six months and promised to lift the moratorium for each area as soon as regulations for each are adopted.
The Logan County Economic Development Corporation Board of Directors had objection to the moratorium out of concern that it could interfere with Granite Renewables' plan to build a large-scale data center on privately owned land east and west -- HEARING >> Pg 2"
