Portrayed is the last thing any broadcaster ever wants to see -- a distorted test pattern of coloured stripes running down the screen vertically, with text in the centre reading "no signal NO SIGNAL" in increasing desperation as glitchy stripes crawl across from left to right. Worst of all, to any TV station owner, they aren't even transmitting any advertisements! The whole thing is a wash.
