보이드, 미니 1집 ‘01’로 본격 데뷔 밴드 행보 시작 #보이드 #V01D #미니앨범01 #TugofWar #ROCKROCK #TheOne #LUNA #IX엔터테인먼트 5인조 신인 남성밴드 보이드(V01D)가 첫 미니앨범을 선보이며 밴드 신으로 발을 내디뎠다. IX(아이엑스)엔터테인먼트는 보이드가 11일 1집 미니앨범 ‘01’을 발매하고 정식 데뷔 활동을 시작했다고 밝혔다. 보이드는 송유찬(드럼), 조주연(보컬), 정지섭(기타+보컬), 케빈박(키보드+보컬), 신노스케(베이스) 등 5명으로 구성된 인조 남성밴드다. 소속사는 이들을 발굴해 밴드로 결성한 뒤, 영상 클립과 각종 콘텐츠를 SNS를 통해 순차적으로 선보이며 데뷔 카운트다운을 이어왔다. 5인조 신인 밴드 보이드, 타이틀곡 ‘터그 오브 워’ 포함 4트랙으로 밴드 정체성 첫 선. (사진=IX엔터테인먼트) 이 과정에서 멤버들은 각자의 연주력과 개성을 드러냈고, 국내외 팬층을 중심으로 관심을 모았다. 특히 데뷔 활동곡에 대한 기대감이 함께 쌓이며 보이드의 첫 음반이 어떤 색을 담을지에 시선이 쏠렸다. 11일 발매된 데뷔 미니 1집 ‘01’에는 타이틀곡 ‘Tug of War(터그 오브 워)’를 비롯해 선공개됐던 타이틀곡 ‘ROCKROCK(樂樂)(락락)’, ‘The One(더 원)’, ‘LUNA(루나)’까지 총 4트랙이 수록됐다. 선공개 곡과 정식 타이틀을 한 앨범에 묶어 보이드의 첫 음악 세계를 압축했다. 타이틀곡 ‘Tug of War’는 록(Rock)을 기반으로 서정적이고 멜로디컬한 느낌과 강렬하고 날 것에 가까운 감성을 함께 담은 곡이다. 대비되는 두 결을 한 곡 안에서 풀어내며 듣는 이들에게 벅찬 감정을 전달하는 구성을 택했다. 이번 앨범 수록곡들은 멤버 전원이 음악 작업에 함께 참여해 완성했다. 단순 연주를 넘어 제작 과정에까지 관여하며 자신들의 음악적 역량을 드러냈고, 밴드로서 어떤 방향을 지향하는지 첫 결과물로 제시했다. 앨범 제목 ‘01’은 팀 영문명 ‘V01D’에 포함된 숫자 ‘01’의 의미를 다시 한 번 환기하는 선택이다. 보이드는 음악과 비주얼, 퍼포먼스를 하나로 엮은 완성된 이야기 구성을 통해 ‘No.1’ 밴드를 목표로 삼고 있으며, 이번 수록곡들을 통해 밴드 특유의 정체성을 드러내겠다는 각오다. 소속사 관계자는 “다섯 명의 멤버들이 하나의 밴드 음악을 완성하기 위해 밤낮으로 끊임없이 연습해 온 결실을 거두는 첫 행보를 시작한다”며 “국내 뿐만 아니라 일본 등 해외 활동에 나서는 보이드에게 응원을 통해 큰 힘을 실어주시기 바란다”고 말했다. 데뷔와 동시에 국내 활동과 해외 행보를 병행하겠다는 계획도 함께 전했다. 보이드는 11일 오후 4시 서울 대학로 SA HALL에서 미디어 쇼케이스를 열고 무대를 선보인 뒤, 국내 음악방송 출연 등 다양한 데뷔 활동을 이어갈 예정이다. 1집 미니앨범 ‘01’ 음원은 이날 오후 6시 각종 음악 플랫폼에 공개됐으며, 피지컬 앨범은 일반반과 플랫폼반 두 가지 버전으로 발매된다.
