A screenshot from a Linux desktop with a translucent floating taskbar on top with an app menu icon, quick launch icons, open apps, weather, system tray, etc., and below it four windows - a btop system monitor, a photos folder inside the Dolphin file manager, a YouTube video in a browser, and a pipes.sh screensaver running in a terminal - arranged in a 2 by 2 grid with 8-pixel gaps between the windows as well as similar margins between the windows and edges of the screen.

So I did some fiddling around with KDE and managed to turn it into a really decent tiling WM using the Krohnkite KWin script.

My main gripe with hyprland and the likes, plus all the panels like waybar, nwg-panels, hyprpanel etc […]

I want to try a #Wayland #tilingwm on my #nVidia #Linux #Gaming #PC - I am a Streamer, so I need it to play nice with #Steam and games going full screen, and ideally, it should be configurable via #Nix on #NixOS - Does anyone have any #suggestions ?
