The laser kills are not that impressive, even Nightbeast by Don Dohler has better laser kills than this movie & that one has a more lower budget than this movie! Laserblast does however work as one of the best & funniest episodes of MST3K (Mystery Science Theater 3000). Roddy McDowall in a small role & the only well known name in this movie and some of the props doesn't make sense - a door knob that's too high & curtains that are too low, who designed them & why where they built like that & was totally fine with to look like that in the movie?! 😂 I guess they couldn't afford to fix them. A sequel was actually planned & by the time they could finally green lit the sequel the original movie had already fallen into obscurity & the studio that was gonna produce it, Empire Pictures, went bankrupt, and thus it got cancelled.
