An artwork of Vraska and Jace Beleren from MTG. The overall piece is made up of vector shapes that are filled in with textured overlays and then outlined again.
They are on a somewhat abstract background of dark teal and brown, with the teals on Vraska's side and the browns on Jace's side. In the middle of the backgroud is a circle, which contains Jace and Vraska from about the thigh up. Vraska is on the left, and standing elegantly, her snake hair wild and free. Her eyes are glowing golden and she is smiling slightly. Her dress is sleek and simple, made of vines and the shoulder and hip are adorned with orange mushrooms.
Jace is next to her in his classic Jace the Mind Sculptor pose, hands held wide, with the magical symbols in between. His hood is up and his eyes glow blue. His cape is behind him and also behind Vraska, framing them both.
Additional decorations in the form of little "halftone" like circles are added like bit of a halo behind Vraska, and also behind Jace's shoulders so that they align with his silhouette. Finally, to the left of Vraska swirly magical symbols that resemble Jace's cloak pattern are incorporated in the background, and similarly, to Jace's right, organic looking mushroom shapes representing Vraska's golgari heritage are incorporated in the background.
After like 100 hours or something I think maybe it is done?? Idk, I can't tell anymore 😅😶🌫️
I present to you my soon to be new playmat!! An attempt to represent Vraska the Unseen + JTMS (and a bit of artistic freedom) in the Strixhaven Mystical Archives style 💙🖤💚
