Das Bild zeigt das Innere einer großen gotischen Kirche mit sehr hohen, spitz zulaufenden Gewölbedecken und vielen dicken Säulen. Der Raum wirkt weit und hell. Auf dem dunklen Steinboden in der Mitte des Kirchenschiffs liegt eine riesige Skulptur eines Wals. Der Wal liegt auf der Seite, sein Körper ist lang und massiv, und seine große Schwanzflosse ist im Vordergrund des Bildes zu sehen. Die Oberfläche der Skulptur wirkt rau und grau, fast wie Stein oder Beton. Mehrere Besucherinnen und Besucher stehen um die Skulptur herum, betrachten sie oder gehen durch den Raum. Am Ende der Kirche sieht man einen Altarbereich mit kunstvollen Verzierungen und einem Kreuz. Licht fällt durch hohe Fenster und lässt farbige Reflexe an einigen Säulen entstehen.
Auch dieses Foto zeigt das Innere derselben großen Kirche. Die Perspektive ist etwas näher an der Wal-Skulptur. Der Wal liegt quer im Kirchenschiff auf dem Steinboden. Seine große Schwanzflosse breitet sich auf dem Boden aus, während sein Körper sich nach rechts hin erhebt. Um die Skulptur herum stehen Menschen unterschiedlichen Alters – Erwachsene und Kinder – die das Kunstwerk betrachten. Einige gehen langsam daran vorbei, andere bleiben stehen. Links und rechts stehen lange Reihen von Kirchenbänken. Hohe Säulen tragen die gewölbte Decke, und buntes Licht von den Fenstern färbt einige der Säulen leicht rot und blau.
Auf diesem Foto sieht man den vorderen, massigen Teil der Wal-Skulptur aus nächster Nähe. Der Rücken des Wals wirkt rund und breit und zeigt längliche Rillen, die an die Struktur echter Wale erinnern. Die Oberfläche ist grau und wirkt schwer und steinartig. Im Hintergrund sieht man das Innere der Kirche mit hohen Säulen und einem großen bunten Kirchenfenster aus Glas. Das Fenster zeigt viele kleine rote, blaue und helle Glasflächen, durch die Licht in den Raum fällt. Darunter steht eine große Orgel mit vielen silbernen Pfeifen. Einige Besucher gehen im Hintergrund durch die Kirche und betrachten die Installation.
