First successful week of consciously including at least 5 colours on my plate at every meal! I'm very prone to eating the same thing over and over again and it's usually just 3 colours at most, one of which is a white/beige starch so... not great, nutritionally.

A close up of a few dishes from a Malaysian kedai tōyé, or Northern Malaysian/Thai restaurant. It shows a steamed sea bass covered in sliced garlic and chillies, a salad made of unripe mangoes, chillies, peanuts, dried shrimp and fish sauce, stir-fried mixed vegetables and some shrimp.
This was actually on New Year's day, but first meal at kedai tōyé—a casual eatery specialising in Thai/Northern Malaysian fusion food. For some reason they're always lit up like an aggressively RGB'd PC tower at night.

First lucky parking spots! A nice lady indicated to me that she and her husband were walking to their car to leave, so I got their spot. Then I went to the mall to get groceries and I got the last solo ladies' parking spot.

This morning I shame-nagged my cat Skittles the Asian aunty way for the first time in 2025, by comparing her to a friend's cat.
"You know Aunty Dimmie's cat B9 hunts for her own food? Meanwhile you pet cockroaches and are scared of lizards."
Skittles did not care.
