Hex isn’t solving the real issue - I still need 256 input characters, which is a pain. Might limit platform count and design a simpler input system that skips by 10s in hex. No clue what I’m doing, running on 5 hours of sleep. #GameDev #GBStudio #8bitDev

Trying to compress tile map data into 10-character codes. Not easy on the #GameBoy. Limited byte-packing options, but I noticed only so many mirrored permutations in a 6x2 grid. But if I do hex, I can get twice as many in. F = 15, so FF is two 6x2 map chunks... I think 🤔 #GameDev #8bitDev #GBStudio
