#94L has an interesting strength forecast. While moving NNW it will be hit by southerly shear ahead of an upper trough, with some dry air working its way upshear. However, it will traverse very warm waters near the Gulf Stream along with very strong upper divergence.

Invest #94L is coalescing between Haiti and Cuba, and NHC may start issuing advisories on a Potential Tropical Cyclone as soon as this evening since tropical storm watches/warnings will likely be needed for the Bahamas.

The chances of #94L becoming a #hurricane and impacting the #Carolinas and #Georgia are increasing, and I am getting all my gear ready to head out, probably on Sunday or Monday. There are some uncertainties as to how the dry air will effect it, but a Cat 2+ is still possible!

Two NOAA flights are currently flying in an effort to collect data and hopefully tighten up the forecast. A low-level mission is investigating #94L while an upper-level mission flew into #Humberto and is now investigating 94L. Always love more data!
