A matriach Humpback Whale is traveling along with various members of it's own kind, including two females and two males. Humpback whales are genuinely one of nature's miracles of the ocean, as they're easily recognizable by their hump on their backs, their long pectoral flippers that are covered in barnacles, and their ability to both sing songs during mating season and their long distance migrations. Before that, they were almost hunted to the brink of extinction but thanks to a public outcry that resulted in commercial whaling being banned since 1986, humpback whales are just as lively as ever as they're found worldwide in the oceans of our blue planet. However, it's not without survival as humpbacks currently face ship strikes, noise pollution, and climate change that's causing them to starve as they need krill, herring, capelin, and sardines to survive across the open oceans. (Originally done back in 2024, redone for March 2026)

A Loggerhead Sea Turtle cruises in a Carribbean coral reef, with lookdown fish swimming synchronously in a massive school while Atlantic spadefish go about their business. Originally made in late March of last year, I figured I wanted to update the barren background of the original art and add in some coral to balance it out while also keeping sure to add in the fish to make the background pop out along with adding in some shadows and lighting to the turtle's shell and texture. (P.S: The sea turtle you see here was based from an old photo taken at my hometown aquarium from their former shark exhibit to which sea turtles were genuinely promiment inside the tank they inhabited)

Despite being wonderfully bizarre in their own right, the Bowmouth Guitarfish is sadly critically endangered. More than 80% of the population has declined thanks to overfishing decimating their numbers as well as coral bleaching damaging their coral reef habitats. The Bowmouth Guitarfish is a good example on why some cartilaginous fish deserve more attention and love because we may never see these rays again if we keep overfishing and destroying every last coral reef across the globe.

A Bowmouth Guitarfish, also known as the Shark Ray, cruises along the coral reefs of the Indo Pacific as various tropcial fish school around in the blissfull waters of the reef. An Oceanic Whitetip Shark, accompanied by two pilot fish to clean the shark from parasites. Commonly regarded as the stockiest of the pelagic sharks, these sharks are known for their elongated pectoral fins and their aptly named white tips on their fins, to which it helps them countershade. Despite being docile looking, you don't want to make them aggressive towards you because once they bump into you, you're dead meat to them. (Redrawn from somewhere in 2024.)

An artpiece of the Giant Oceanic Manta Ray, one of the most iconic and definitive pelagic ray species, in part due to their friendly nature with their graceful gliding across the tropical oceans they inhabit. Two remoras are hitchiking on the manta's head. They're also very intelligent thanks to possessing one of the biggest brains of cartilaginous fish, which makes them capable of long term memory. (Originally done in April 2025, updated as of February 2026)
