To all of you, This is the last day of this year's Aromantic Spectrum Awareness Week. How was it for everyone? Did you learn something new? Did you have fun? For us, it was an insightful and fun experience! There is real value in witnessing different people's perspectives and experiences, and having a space to express our own was a pleasant, empowering experience. Heck, admin R said it was healing! While the finale of this week has arrived, the real work hasn't, and it doesn't quite end. Creating a supportive and safe space is not something that only takes a week, it takes time and effort from multiple people.
Continue to nurture the fire you have inside of you! It's a great source of warmth for yourself and the people around you, aromantic or not. Keep making your arospec works. Keep talking about the things you love. Keep speaking and listening. Last but not the least, keep being who you are. The world is much more colorful because you're here. What makes you different is enough. 'til the next one! Thank you for being a part of this project. ♡

I was not actually upset at all when I learned she was taken, which should’ve told me something.

Aro fan pet peeves bingo From left to right, top to bottom - feeling forced to amato to enjoy media - character arc trashed for romance - depth and intimacy only explored in romance - lack of non romantic media - "I see them as friends" "are you homophobic?" - ending with forced romance - struggling to find like minded fans - ambiguity in a ship means romantic - "aros don't like romantic media/ships" - *makes intimate art* "that's so romantic!" - non romantic story's fandom filled with romance - using "aros can still date" as a gotcha - overabundance of romantic fics - too many romantic cliches - aro hc getting shut down - aro character mislabeled as aroace or vice versa
