Hey, #WritingCommunity, what do you use for version control?
I'm a software developer, so I just use git. I use LyX for my editor, giving a plain-TeX (pun intended) doc format, so I can use git features like cherry-picking; it makes sense.
Wouldn't work for binaries as well. So what do you use?
Plugging away at a manuscript a few hundred words at a time feels slow and tedious; like you’re going nowhere. But 777 words/day = 23,310/month = 69,930 in 3 months. Add that to the 30k words you’ve already written and, boom, you have a story.

Cultures, nations, even plot arcs - they can all follow character development, have motivations and goals, react and interact with each other like characters can… the works!
