Glowing a warm orange in the last of the sunlight, the hanging pollen sack.. umm.. thingys* line the bare branches of a Live Oak tree. The sky is a pale apricot, and the sun is a brilliant spot on the horizon. My Mini Cooper, Pipsqueak, can barely be seen at the bottom of the photo. *I have no idea what those are called, sorry.
Photo of the now naked Live Oak trees; they shed their leaves prior to growing the new ones, so the past week has looked & smelled like Autumn here. It's a beautiful 83F, but by Monday, it'll drop to a high of 58F or even lower.
