I find it's very important to go by what criteria (i.e. symptoms) the patient identifies for themselves. The revised text explicitly removes that qualification (p 10)

Great points as always. In coercive treatment in which patient/client feedback doesn't matter and is never collected, exploitation and fraud are sure to follow. #Substanceuse treatment is infamous for this as well.

In all my years as an #addiction counselor I have never heard providers talk about consent to treat (beyond paperwork). The concept is a threat to the entire treatment industry as it functions today.
