The problem has never been John Rustad.

It's been the BC conservative caucus.

There are members in that caucus who've held openly racist views, particularly in regards to the Muslim community who are still in that caucus

Elenore Sturko speaks out after exit from B.C. Conservative caucus, calls for other members to push leader out Elenore Sturko moved into her new office in the basement of the B.C. legislature as an independent after getting kicked out of the B.C. Conservative caucus Monday evening.

As many as nine MLA’s want Rustad removed as leader.

So 9 out of 39 bc cons. Ouch.

One caucus member spoke out at Monday night’s meeting – opposing the removal of Sturko – and told CTV News they are seriously thinking about leaving the party.

Only 1,268 people voted in the BC cons leadership review of John Rustad despite the party having over 8,000 members in good standing.

Only 15%. Turnout. WEAK! SAD!

Rustad won in 78 of them, lost in 10, tied in 3

2 ridings had no votes cast.

B.C. Conservative Leader John Rustad gets 70.66% support in review British Columbia Conservative Leader John Rustad says his party members have given him a “mandate to lead” with 70.66 per cent of party members voting to support his leadership.

So, almost a third of BC conservative members wanted to expel John Rustad from the antivaxxer, conspiracy kook far right #MapleMAGA party, the #Bccp.

He won the vote. 70.66% voted for him to stay on as leader

But he's wounded. A third is a lot.
