Good day for the #backyardbirdcount today. It stopped raining and I got 46 species. This is a Carolina Chickadee.
Bubby, our resident dominant male Annaβs hummingbird perches on a lichen-dotted twig close to the center of the tree as snow falls and bedecks neighboring boughs. His shiny magenta and purple face feathers flash against the winters scene.
And donβt forget, itβs great Backyard Bird Count weekend! I know thereβs at least one if these in my backyard. Thereβs even a tiny bit of lichen here. (Link in the comments) #BackyardBirdCount #Birds #Lichen #Hummingbirds #PNW #Nature #Photography #GoOutside #Breathe #Notice
My 20 minute lunchtime observation for today's Great Backyard Bird Count. 16 bird varieties, 62 birds. We have a few more feathered friends that decided not to participate in today's count. Maybe tomorrow.
