Barnbow Social Club opened in 1951 for the tank factory next door. That factory closed in 2004 and every building was flattened… except us.

Memorial stone recently erected by Friends of Beckett Street Cemetery, Leeds for another of the #Barnbow Canaries (young Munitions workers). Elsie Martha Atkinson aged 18 years. Laid to rest with her family.
