The first purpose-built #AircraftCarrier was commissioned on #ThisDayInHistory in 1922. #Hōshō of the Imperial Japanese Navy was small compared to later carriers, meant to carry #biplanes, but pioneered many aspects of the type. Her limited combat use helped her to survive #WWII.

I got the DVD & still like it. The DVD Feature showed that tho fictionalized it really was based on true events & about 6 actual ppl.
