I may be wearing out the short-form #Blizzsky #music #poetry audience with this marathon of literary snow storm poems set to original music—but we’re nearing the end as a late winter storm falls around me. Here’s a bittersweet sonnet by Jamaican-American poet Claude McKay I recently performed:
I had 4 or 5 other snowstorm poems with music that I’ve done which I could’ve shared instead of this one during my #blizzsky marathon today—but this is likely the most famous by far, & so hard to leave out.
