Had a really nice day at work, hung out with some Blue Banded Bees! Native Australian bees... they are normally quite shy so it was really cool that they let me get so close to take their photos (just iphone shots but have to share bc they are such sweet bees!). #bees #wildlife #bluebandedbees

Four Blue-banded bees getting comfortable on the twig of a salvia plant. The bees sleep by locking their mandibles around the twig.
