You know, it's just occurred to me that #CasinoRoyale more or less adapted the opening to #MenInBlack. Granted, we have the double-oh sequence up front, but the 1st action scene in this movie mirrors the 1st action in #MiB, chasing down a supernaturally fleet-footed perp.

Not Bond's best look, I'd argue. Perhaps his worst? I guess he dressed as a clown one time. And an Asian person (yellowface; offensive). So def not his worst either, now that I think about it. Does Bond have any shits that fit? He looks like he raided his niece's closet for his Madagascar mission.

Martin Campbell directed both #GoldenEye and #CasinoRoyale which, for #Kcookandcatsco money, are the only 2 good #BondFilms (and there's, like, ~25 #Bond #movies).
I think they're all unwatchable, but those 2, 1 with Pierce Brosnan (GoldenEye) and 1 with Daniel Craig (Casino Royale) 🤓
"Your file shows no kills, and it takes..." Bond finishes Dryden's sentence, suggesting that he (and, by proxy, we, the audience) are well familiar with this old rigamarole. 2 kills, yup! We get it, move along, Dryden, by which we mean into a pine box six feet underground.
... but when you THINK about it, what that all suggests about MI6's activities and philosophies is, like, pretty bonkers. Oh, no sir, don't even think about APPLYING for us until you've killed SEVERAL guys (like, granted, it's sort of an internal promotion, so they're not sorting off the street by preference for murderers... but it's not THAT much different, if you think about, which is what we're doing)
