I've been using #busuu for less than 2 weeks, but it is so much better.
It has the community learning that Duo ditched. It explains grammar and helps you understand concepts. I have yet to encounter an error (duo has always been full of errors).
And I see the point of Busuu's premium. Might try.
I have been studying Japanese on #Busuu for a full week now.
I wish I'd found it sooner. I like its teaching style better than Duolingo, and I find its lessons to be higher in overall quality.
If you're tired of the constant cheerful Duo enshittification, Busuu is a good alternative so far.

I think at this point none of the major players has a real good "free" tier. And some are more restrictive than Duo.
Well, there's #Busuu. The free tier is pretty good, you just can't get the review lessons. Also, there are no speech lessons with Busuu. But there is grammar.

After having maintenance yesterday, Duolingo didn't record my lesson. My goal was to go an entire year without missing a day before quitting this app, and a server hiccup said no.
Oh well. I can put my 1,635 day streak away and finally move over to #Busuu.

Me ha vuelto a salir la misma pregunta rara de italiano, y esta vez he contestado sin pensar qué era más probable que me pusiera bien y, claro, me la ha puesto mal.
Pero si esto lo digo entre el momento de apuntarme al curso de alemán y el momento de mudarme, debería ser correcto.

語学学習アプリ #Busuu は、中国語に関してはサービス品質を向上させる気がないように感じられる。去年の8月に報告した不具合がまだ修正されていない。音声ファイルの後ろに別の音声が繋がっている（たぶん録音時に複数の文章を連続して録音した）という不具合なので、音声ファイルの後ろを削除すれば良いだけなのだが。
1年以上ほぼ毎日使用した。音声ファイルもほぼ全部DLできたので、もうやめようかな、という感じ。
Since Duolingo decided to go AI-only 😔, I cancelled my subscription and switched to #Busuu instead. I'm loving it! Unlike Duolingo, I'm not charged extra for clear language explanations, and the pronunciation practice lessons are so much better. I'm excited to try #Lingonaut when it's out.
