#octoberhorrormoviechallenge #31horrorfilms31days 🎃 #day7 - #laserblast It has an interesting story, but technically the movie isn't really that great. The laser kills are not that impressive, even Nightbeast by Don Dohler has better laser kills than this movie & that one has a more lower budget than this movie! Laserblast does however work as one of the best & funniest episodes of MST3K (Mystery Science Theater 3000). Roddy McDowall in a small role & the only well known name in this movie and some of the props doesn't make sense - a door knob that's too high & curtains that are too low, who designed them & why where they built like that & was totally fine with to look like that in the movie?! 😂 I guess they couldn't afford to fix them. A sequel was actually planned & by the time they could finally green lit the sequel the original movie had already fallen into obscurity & the studio that was gonna produce it, Empire Pictures, went bankrupt, and thus it got cancelled.
