I know #AO3 is doing their best to combat spam comments on our fanfiction. I don’t think this is the answer.
Having a system which calls perfectly fine comments “like spam” is harmful to #commentculture, but especially hurtful to any writer or READER who lacks confidence in writing comments.
I included #alt-text, because this is still really, really important to me for as many people to read as possible. #commentculture
More people should comment! It doesn't matter if it's sex, when the writing and characterization is good, when you enjoy, you comment! Even if just to say "I love this". I promise everyone it means more to most creators than "X left Kudos".
