San Rafael board names Pozalot as successful bidder for former McPhail Elementary site After hearing neighborhood appeals to keep the 9.7-acre McPhail site public, the board opened one timely written bid and adopted an amended resolution naming Pozalot (guaranteed purchase price $6,000,000) the successful bidder; staff noted required deposits and next steps for closing.

The San Rafael City Schools Board has named Pozalot the successful bidder for the former McPhail Elementary site, but community voices are urging for its preservation as a public asset.
