Two new dial plates for the equatorial sundials. The copper will eventually be trimmed and sandwiched by the mild steel. The layers will then be riveted together and mounted at the proper latitude angle

Nathrop, CO. The sun was starting to say hello on this early morning as it extended its fingers as far as it could reach. This small scene from a larger cascade caught my eye and made for a great vertical shot.
Mitchell Creek in the Brainard Lake Recreation Area. This location is a great (not too tough) hike, and we have stopped to admire its elegance a few times, taking a couple of different trails. If you decide to go plan to start early, as the morning is a great time to spot moose coming down for the morning drink! BUT BE CAREFUL!!!
North Clear Creek Falls, near Creede, CO. This incredible falls is right off the highway...so it's an easy hike, however it must be done after the snow pack has melted, as generally the snow is higher than the roof of your automobile and at least requires snow shoes or spikes. But in the late spring/early summer, you just hop out of the car and walk a hundred feet or so, and boom...awesome waterfall.
Falls Creek Falls in Steamboat Springs, CO. This is an awesome, lengthy waterfall that is just a short hike down to the creek. We go to this location several times a year, as each time it reveals a whole new look. This capture almost looks like a black and white...winter is such an amazing time, and the colors and contrast might seem muted, but that's only to the casual observer. A deeper dive reveals yellows, browns, and even a sneaky green leaf or two.
