I press a paw up to the glass of the mirror. My reflection stares back, a gray wolf, scars over it's right eye, wearing glasses and an orange collar. Tears are falling down it's face. Yet it smiles, knowing that I finally see my true self after all these years.
For the first time,
the face I saw in the mirror
was my own
