I am also sure the #DPIA will be able to stand up Panda’s confident claim that the entire thing complies with data protection laws. Because it is a very brave statement to make if they don’t have a #DPIA to back it up or at least show how they thought about these kinds of questions.

But I am sure the #DPIA that Panda did has addressed all of this and surprised customers are surprised because they didn’t read the information notice provided to them by Panda to tell them that this new process was being introduced and not because they weren’t told in a transparent way about it.

Ok. So what’s going on here? Many questions arise for me from a #DataProtection and #DataGovernance perspective. If I was @dpcireland.bsky.social the first thing I’d be asking for is a copy of the #DPIA that obviously was done for this initiative*

One for complete #dataprotection & #DPIA nerds. Jamaica 🇯🇲 has a requirement for data controllers to submit a DPIA to the supervisor once a year for ALL data processing activities they carry out. 🤯 Same/similar 4 sections as 🇪🇺 #GDPR, but a totally different trigger. Does this happen elsewhere? 🤷♂️
