Le ciel lui-même, d'un gris couvert et feutré, contribue à la douce lumière de la scène. Plusieurs personnes sont présentes sur la plage et près de l'eau. À droite du poste de secours, un homme en chemise bleu foncé et short marche sur le sable. Plus loin, on aperçoit d'autres personnes, certaines semblant discuter près d'une tente bleue, tandis que d'autres se tiennent plus près du rivage. La composition est équilibrée : le poste de secours occupe une place importante dans le cadre, attirant le regard. La palette de couleurs est douce, dominée par les bleus pâles, les blancs et les tons sable, rehaussée par l'orange vif du drapeau et les inscriptions rouges sur le panneau de sauvetage.
