With all my talk of "Why am I reading PDFs on my screen", I kinda had to do *something* fancy for #DANGERCLOSE. And I think I did! (Out soon!)
So, #DANGERCLOSE is a bit hard to pin down in terms of gameplay/game design influences - to a degree where I'd even go as far to claim that it's a pretty new kind of game.
Maybe a better way to define it, is by looking at the feelings and vibes it tries to evoke:
#DANGERCLOSE remains a bit hard to pin down in terms of its genre. It has elements of solo RPGs, the OSR, board games, war games, journaling games - and perhaps even more.

The fun thing with #DANGERCLOSE is that it's setting agnostic. The current Operation Trident being performed by playtesters is setting agnostic as well; you can drop in, and flavor it as whatever universe you want!
