Picture shows a stone thing about 6cm or 7cm high and a about the same across at the widest part at the top, which is a gentle or shallow dome. At the other end is a smaller dome, about 2.5 cm across. They are joined by a sort-of stalk in between, but it is all cut and shaped from a single piece of rock. You can stretch a sock or tights across the dome to keep it steady while you darn across holes or ladders in your hosiery.
