Last film @frightfest.bsky.social was Every Heavy Thing which I fucking loved. Such a different film, about a serial killer but nothing like any other film in that genre. A descent into madness & shot through with a wry wit. Would make a great double bill with Dead Mail.

Dead Mail - 2024 was a great experience. The visual language is immersive without being gimmicky. The dialogue is all engrossingly uncanny. The order of events didn't have me fully on board, but it it did add some flavor. By the end I felt like I had been on an emotional rollercoaster.

Honestly, #DeadMail is a surprisingly quality indie thriller from @shudder.com. An intriguing premise and well executed mystery. Genuinely shocked a dead letter office has not been used more often. Such a simple, but effective hook. Recommended viewing for horror lovers. 4.5/5📧
