One of the first infamous missteps by #ImageComics was the crossover with #Valiant in #Deathmate, which was plagued by late shipments, leading to reader backlash. Half of the Image founders didn't even participate, with #ToddMcFarlane being openly critical of it.

I recently/bravely reread #Deathmate from @imagecomics.bsky.social and #ValiantComics… and boy, was it rough! I remember it being bad from back in the day, but those #ImageComics issues were nigh unreadable. I deserve a medal for plodding through it all. I need praise. Heaps of praise. #comicbooks
