Post Facebook de Urban Cycling Institute: Every time we tell people walking or cycling to wear hi-viz and lights 'to be seen', we quietly reinforce #Motonormativity—the belief that motorized vehicles are the default, and everyone else must discipline themselves to accommodate for them on our streets. Road safety is not an equally shared responsibility. It is a power game that is heavily skewed against those outside the metal cage.
