Nothing waddles more gloriously than an #echidna. They have a unique arrangement of bones in their shoulders and hips, giving them a perfect rolling gait. They walk as if they're humming "BOMP-TE-BOMP BOMPETTY BOMP-TE-BOMP" to themselves.

The prettiest of Australia's four species of #quoll is arguably the chudditch (western quoll). Unfortunately you can't tell from this terrible photo, partly because it has its face buried in a kangaroo.

#Banksia fraseri (ser. #Dryandra), the Dryandra series of Banksia are some of my favorite of the genus, they look so otherworldly and something more out of a Dr Seuss book

A lot of flowers were finishing up on this shrub but many were still going strong! #Banksia undata! The Urchin #Dryandra, use to be part of the Dryandra genus, and like many of them it lacks the classic conflorescence that are iconic of many Banksia!
